Flight Home

I know this has been long over due.
I got a 5am bus so i was up at 4:30am.
On the bus Ride to Lisbon I got to see them cutting cork off cork trees.
Once I got off the bus I realized I had no money to get the shuttle to the air port. Non of my bank cards would work. It was a scarey and stress full momment. I have never felt so awafulle in my life. I ended up asking these two women for money they were so nice and help full. they gave me the 3 euroes that i needed to get home. I was so scared that I would miss my flight.
Once in the airport every thing went well. I was starving but I took an orange so I was able to eat be for checking in.
I had a lay over in ponta delgada witch is an island off the cost of Portugal. the flight we were on was also going to Boston. Every one had to get off the plain. when I get off the plain there is people there that you show your ticket to the would tell you to go behind to your boarding gate, or you would be sent out. So I hear the woman send a girl to the out door that was going to Toronto. So I bring my ticket up and she sends me to the out door. As I get closer you have to go through boarder controle and the man was saying to the girl you should go to your gate so i pipe up saying that i am also going to Toronto and was sent to here. so the mans says no no come. So we fallow and confirm that we are on the same flight. The boarder man starts arguing with the grounds woman. We have no idea what they are saying. the man turns to us and says go in there. so we walked in there.
Me and the girl sat and talked we had 3 hrs to kill so it was good to get to talk with someone. We got to watch them check the boston flight. Every one had there hand baggage surcehed they had to remove there shoes. we just sat there and when the time came we just walked on the flight.
once on the flight i was in the middle isle and i had all four seats to my self. A man did end up moving to the other seat. I was so happy when the meal came It had been a long time since breakfast.
I had still not slept at this point. I wanted to watch the movie it was the new sherlock but my head phones. would not work and the flight attendant could not get it to work. So I watched the movie with no sound.
once landed I had no problem with customs, they have eletronic mechines that you scan your passport then ur claims sheet and prints a number on it. Then you walk to two gaurds they look at the number and point to go to the counters or go along behind.
I got my bags and walked out. Did not get questioned at all.
I was officially back in Canada and I had some Canadian coin to spend at Tims!

I extended my trip to spend time in Ontario with my grand mother.

Dog stress

One more day. I can not believe that the time to return home has come.am I excited? A little. I have fallen in love over here the way people do business how they treat each other. There is still so much to see and do and experience. I know canada has alot to offer and I should see more. There just something about. Not knowing the lauange and the different culture that I enjoyed so much.
Saying good bye to the dogs was very hard. I became very attached to them.

The cottage has 2hectars of land so we are able to just walk. Normal we would take the loop it takes around 45 min. Every time shebia always trust to go down the same path. I said hay why not can always turn back. Away we go it was lovely because it went up a hill were the other path went in the valley. There was an amazing view we could see lagos from up there. Even theocean. On the other side just rolling hills and forest. It was beautiful. We came to one feild soothing in it had johnny attention. There were beehive in it. So we continued on. We got close to the wind mills. It was a nice walk. We decided to head back.
On our way back johnny was very far ahead of us and when we came back to the field he was in the bushes at the other side. So we called but to no end. Finally shebia got interested and also headed in. We went after them. I eventually got shebia but we could not even hear johnny. Shebia was pulling to go in so I thought maybe she would lead me to johnny they were very close and we're never far apart. I know here hearing and smelling was better so off I go down this "game trail" she all of a sudden stopped u could tell by her face and body that she was listening to something next thing I know she is twisting and pulling to get out of my hold. Thanks to my job I can hold on we go farther down the path and she stopped to lession again.  And started to cry and freek out. I was contemplating letting her go when she sliped through here colar. I was not im pressed. She took off running. I was yelling back to shauna to tell her. She came down the path.  It was not any easy task since there were tons of plants waiting to stab you. We stood there calling. Then came the sound you do not want to hear. Yleping... Then some barking from johnny one more yelp then nothing. We start going back up the path we can tell from the sounds that they are down the hill in the gully there is no way we could get down there. Also wild boars are coman here. And if the were in a nest of them there is nothing we could do. As we were going back up slightly we could see on the next hill johnny then shebia racing over it. Now there is no way we could ketch up with them. So we head back and pray they will come back. We planed that in a few hrs we would go back with food bowls and cat can food and bang them since that is how u called them for dinner.
We were very upset back at home. What if they did not come back or got hurt how would we tell the owner the next day. We turned on he tv. It is great to distract once brain. We were more then half way through the show and shauna let's out a big shocked gap and is staring at the door.
It was johnny starring in with his goffy expression. I run out so excited,  but worried about shebia we go out call her name and she sauntered around the corner. Johnny was covered in mud bures but other then looking hot he was fine.  Shebia was a little worst off I noticed her lip was bleeding when I went to look at it I got a firm grawl so I let it be she also would shy her head away from being pet, u could see little cuts on it. Johnny went to his food dish it was dinner time so I fixed them dinner. Shebia tryed to eat the hard but u could see her mouth hurt, so I got the hoses and filled her bowl with water she ate fine after that. Latter that night when she was resting I went over and sat with her and she let me pet her all over I got a good look at her head and there were little cuts all over even one on her bottom eye lid but they all look to be scabing over well. I let her be. What they got up to it have no idea.  But I do know shebia was putting her head into somewhere it should not have been.
The next day we went for a walk alone because the kids were sleeping. They were tired u could tell shebia was soor from all the running.  She moved very little both dogs were extra cuddly all day. Witch we were both ok with since we knew it was our last time being with them.
Saturday we went into town on the weekend the bus only runs twice once at 9am and again at 5PM that is it. So we got up caught the bus. A lovely couple informed us that we were standing on the wrong side of the road. Once in town we checked out the market wondered around. Found a cute cafe that had some great cakes. We went to an India restuant. Weighting staff just love me and shauna I think it is because we smile. Apparently Germans never smile and look sourer.
We walk all around the harbor because there was this box thing that we wanted to know what was in it/ what it was for. It took around 20 min and it turned out to be a wild cat home. There was food and water and toons of little rooms for the cats to get out of the elements.
What a good day.
Tomorrow I work then tue I am going to be catching the 5:45 bus. Going to be a long day. To help me pass the time I am going to answer questions so if you have any questions about my trip before during or even about my after plans I will answer all as best as I can. Shauna and her big mouth

On Sunday it was beautiful. A little chilly in the wind but great when in the sun. I have such a great farmers tan going on. I think I have gotten as dark as I will because I just get red pink in the sun now. Do not burn. This is great so should not need sunscreen this summer.
Shauna was facetiming her parents that afternoon and was going on about how there is never a cloud in the sky.
Well Monday morning we wake up to dark clouds rolling through. OK we can still work and it was nice to have shade. We had to request carotts, zucinies, brockly, and some others from the evil weeds. They have this vine like weed here. It is so hard to get out because it wraps aroud every plant it can. So it was all through the carrots. It was very hard to get out. We need to be taking before and after shots the garden looks so different once we are done. There is atualy ground underneath.
We did a second bed and then it was lunch time. As we were weeding the second one a man came he has a small garden. He is from France he wind surfs. And he brought us a traditional north France cake for desert.
So for lunch. There was fryed potatoes, fryed zucchini, salid. It was very good and an egg to go on top of your salid. This cack was so good and it had plums in it. Just like big dryed raisins. We made beet dip using a beet from the garden. Took that down for dinner, witch was pizza but with lunch on top so zucchini salid and eggs. She likes to make left over pizza alot. Then there was an apricot cake for desert.
This morning I did not even here the alarm. I slept so good I have not been sleeping well on my weird pull out coach.
So this morning it was dark out the clouds were promising rain. I blame shauna. She provoked the clouds to come. We got chased inside once due to rain. I has been a very slow day but we are almost finished another garden were we rescued beets. And apparently some of them are as big as shaunas head.

Market protest fun!

On the car ride to the market we got the down load. Now I was sitting in the back so I missed somethings.
The market is in a very small town and it is the only one close to a cluster of small villages that is free. It has been going on for more then ten years. There are alot of hippies that live there. Apparently last week at the market the police showed up full gear guns out. And the fined every one, children, elderly every one. They even confancated people's stuff. So not only were these people just trying to make a little extra they got fined and had there stuff taken. How is that good for the economy is don't know.
So we drive past and I guess there were very few people there, normal it is much fuller. So we go park and the parking lot had six cars and apparently it normal is full. So we walk to the market place. And there are gypsys there. Horse and donkeys and carts in all. I was very shocked and surprised to atuly get to see some with the horse drawn cart.
Any who we walk over to were there are like camper vans pulled in a circle. And people are sitting on the ground looks like one big picnic going on. We pull up some grass. Our host woman brought some beer plus the colslaw with no untincles woops.
There was a group of people play interments and singing songs. Oddly enough English was the lauange spoken most there. More people would join in as the arived. There was a woman with a ucilaily, man with guitar and he was the main singer older gentleman with a floral shirt on also played dishes and ac ordain this man he had three picks on his fingers I have never seen some one picking like that before very intersting, a younger gentleman about 30 playing a guitar he also played spoons, another older man playing a small drum, a woman with a tamporin an egg shaker and a wooden recorder, a woman played the flute, a kazzu was floting around, there was also a man with a hermonaca, as we were leaving another man with gitar showed up. There was a woman in a yellow dress that would also sing or hum along.
On a side note I don't care what the studies say your boobs will sag with out a bra on. Just I side not!
It was nice all the kids were playing together the dogs were running around, people were singing, lots of beer drinking, lots of conversation. It was very lovely.
Around one. This guy did this show and it was a fire show. This man was so funny. He did juggling fire and some hat tricks, he tryed to balance a bike on his chin and juggle fire but it was two windy. He rode a unicical and juggled. It was funny it was him that made the show very good stage presence. Very funny the kids loved him the adults loved him. It was wonderful
Like any performer he asked for money at the end. Here are this people that have very little them selves, have just gotten a fine and they were giving what they could.  Sadly I did not bring any money because I knew the market would not be set up.
After that the music picked up again and we head back home.
So duing all this I was taking some photos and this woman came up to me she was from Germany visiting and she forgot her camara and asked me to email her photos of it. So I have her email and will do it once I get home. She was very nice we had a lovely chat.
It was a very good day.

Lagos

It is lagos not logos. Don't know we're my head was at. 

I was going to back up and explain the cottage a little better but there is just so much to tell u. Next week I will elaborate on the cottage. 

On Friday afternoon we arrived at the house. Apparently she was not ready because she thought we would rather go into logos and spend the night there. Like I have the money to stay any wear that is free. 

We are staying in the up stairs apartment we have our own door. There isone room, bathroom, kitchen, living room, big butt tarios. The bed room only has one bed so I am stuck on the pull outcoach.

It is like no other pull out I have seen. I will explain how to set it up. 1 pull out from bottom would wooden panales. 2 pull cushion off, un zip cushion. Un fold cushion, lay down on wooden slats. 3 make bed. 

It is very low to group very hard and u can feel the three parts. 

Just for the weekends. 

Saturday there is a market in logos so the family was heading into town, we went with them. Once we got there we went around the market we got there around lunch so most of the stuff was picked over. They had this cute jars of honey. It has the town right on the jar. Shauna got one. 

We wondered around town. Got talked into taking a boat tour of the caves.

It was 10€ .it was so worth it. U get in this little tin boat. Well first u get a " life jacket " I am with Shauna I think it would sink u. Tons of holes, and it was heavy.  Just one tub that went around ur neck. We could not figure out how to do it up. There was a young couple beside us and he did his up and was showing us by doing up his partners. I could still not get it. So get did mine and shauna up. And the women goes see that is why I bring u. They were very nice. Then they tryed to put shauna between the couple. 

The boat ride was very nice they have some intersting rocks. Camal, camale head, elephant, titanic and ice burg. They take u right into the caves. It was very interesting there were parts that hid sky lights and the water would be different colors depending on how much sun was hitting it. There is alot of beaches. 

There is potato beach because a ship coming back from the new world sank right off the coast and all the patattos on the ship washed ashore. There is the collage beach just for students, we pull up to one and shauna goes that man is naked kristy how did u not spot that first.  And then we find out that was the nude beach. There were a few more non with cool names or story's. Except this one and the "path" to get down was very a crack between the cliffs. I think it would be even harder then the cottage. There was another one with over 200 steeps to get down. 

It was a very cool trip.

At the house we found a map with shops advertised on it. We decided to find this bakery. You would think after all this time shauna would learn that some other the best things are in the residential part of town. 

Unfortunately the pizza shop and phamicy that was on the map were there but no bakery. So we head back into town. 

We tryed to find a chocolate shop could not find it. We past a place with cakes so we got a slice of cake and a milkshakes.  Then off to find the icecream place. I got orange carrot. It was horrible I had to toss it out :( shauna gt chocolate and it was very gross how u mess up chocolate I have no idea. 

Then it was off to the bus stop. There is only two busses on the weekend so unless we want to pay for a taxi we had to wait for the bus. And since neither of us had a watch we were early witch is fine because I truly did not wish to pay for a taxi. 

It was a good day. 

We were just chilling at home and the host woman came up. She was going to a protest tomorrow because the police shut down a market and wanted to know if we wished to go with her. It was picnic style. We said yes.

The next morning we got up and we're getting ready. I was just starting the colslaw I was going to make to bring. And she came a calling thankfully she was ok with waiting and even got us A contain to put it in.

As we were driving there she was explaining about the market.

We finished up surfing with a bang / lagos new work away

Our last surfing lesson was on Saturday because we took wed off.  The morning went great we were ketching green waves left right and center. The photographer was there again. Got some great waves. My best wave was when I tryed for one stood up and started to loose the wave. But with a push down on the nose I came down nicely. It was a beautiful wave. The only sad part was due to the fact that I turn to my back side so well I needed waves that break left. So I was surfing away from the photographer so not that many shots of me. What a great day for it, being the weekend not many people there.
The afternoon went just as well except there were some real dicks out there. There were blocking us. And if we moved over to the less favorite waves they followed. It was very annoying.

On Sunday night two more girls came. They brought there own surf boards. They flew with EasyJet and they damaged one of the boards. They managed to take a big chunk and dent out of the board. We have no idea how they managed to do that.
I hope they will comansate her.
Monday we caught the bus at lunch time. It was a very long bus ride. It was 8 hr long. When we got to there the bus was 45 min late. G was there to meet us. G is one of the owners. He was in a little car and had just picked up groceries so we had to cram the bags in the back seat.
We went to the house were his wife was and she had dinner ready witch was great. It was very good. There daughter has it the best for launages, her mother and father are doth french from France, step father is English and goes to a public school so also know Portuguese.
After dinner we went to the " cottage" as they call it. It is a home that they have converted into three summer vacation homes. Each is its own yuint with full kitchen and bathroom.  The view is stunning just rolling hills. There are very few houses or people this way. The house sits on over 40 acers of land and they have cork trees
Did you know
Corks like the ones in wine dottles come from a tree. It is atuly the bark of the tree. It takes ten years for the bark to grow thick enough to be collected and used. The trees are funny looking because u can see were they harvested up to. The usaly just take from the trunk.
The trucks have been going through and I am hoping the colect before we go I would live to see it. The do it all by hand.
The cottage is lovely there is no Internet we are two far out. On Wednesday night the man went back in town so me and shauna were alone. We were in bed shauna was snoring, and I remember that I left the hose running. So I got up got my flashlight and out I went. I don't know if it was because the house was just painted white the other day. It was so bright out. I did not need the flashlight. The birds were even signing. It was so odd. It was not even a full moon. Friday night will be spent in town.
As will the weekend.
So the have two dogs that live at the cottage johnny and shebia. They are lovely friendly dogs. So much fun and we take them for a walk ever day that takes around 45 min. They are so much fun to have around.

Having a great time. So great to be out in the middle of no were.  

Wetsuit repair shop... Very mad Mario

When Joe brought our breakfast wed morning he mentioned to me about going into lourinha. He would be back later that day. So we spent the day recoparating. It was a nice relaxing day hiding inside from the wind.
So Joe shows up and we are now going to peniche. Is the town that we surf around so it was exciting to see. They have the old stone walls still up. There is a water house that use to be were women went to do laundry now u just fill ur jugs there. The islands are clearly seen from there. We drove up one side and it is a penicila so it was very windy the waves were very large and they were crashing into the rocks and spraying so high. The ocean look very up set so wavy and rooly. As we continue to drive I noticed what I thought were grave markers, I asked but because I was in the back no one hurd me. They were spraticly placed most had a cross or the praying hands with the beeds in them. It made me wonder if they were prayer spots for save journey on the ocean.  It is a fishing village that is how most men make a living there.
We went to the point and u can just make out our town and beach. Very exciting. As we drive down the other side it is a whole different story. It was much calmer. The wind and much less and this is the side we have been surfing on now we know why they were taking us to that side. We went to this place he had some business to do so we sat in the van when he went in to do his thing. The people here never cease to amaze me with there driving. Can't get a parking spot up close no problem just stop in the lain way and put ur four ways on and go about ur day. If the owner of said cars come and see they are blocked in no big they will just honk and the person comes out.
Now if you are a scooter do not worry about were to drive or were to park because the city was kind and put in sidewalks just for you. So don't forget to honk at any people who dare walk on the sidewalk they should know better sidewalks are for scoters.
U can never park to close to a stop sign, sidewalk, or cross walk. Park on all three at the same time no big we know u did not want go drive around to find a legal spot. Oh yes the parking is great fun to watch.
From there we wentvon a goose chase to find the repair shop we went to one place but it was not there. They moved. So we drove some more. And there u have it we found it. Now how do we get in... Doors are locked but we were just talking to them on the phone. Finally we are let in. The pace smelled like wetsuits fancey that. We found out that is were they make there rashgaurnds. The instructors are getting new ones global surf orange the material looks cook. They do not just repair wetsuits they also make them. They had this awasum pink color.  Shauna fell in love with it. So how might one rip a wet suit they are very tough material. Well I asked this and apparently when u fall the fins on the surf board have enough force to cut them.... Happy it is the suit and not my skin. I try to mega push the board away when I fall now, I like my skin on my body, crazy I know.
It was a fun day seeing the town.
So Thursday all rested ready to go. We fail miserable. I did get one wave at the start and it was beautiful.
Mario sent me on another he gave me a push I was right in the perfect zoon. Oh crap there is a girl beside meandering right beside her is a guy. The guy is yelling at her I am trying to think of how to get out but every thing I think of would end up with my board hitting her. Well the enable happen my board took out her legs we got tumbled around in the wave together not good. So once the wave let's us go I get up seeing she is up I say u ok she says something in a different language then as a look at her funny she says are u ok. We both say yes. Then the oh so fun task of un tangling our boards as waves are still crashing. Now I felt bad until Mario told me it was the same girl shauna almost took out because she cut her off if Mario had not grapped shauna then she would have surfed right over the girl. Then due to wave edict she should not have gotten the wave with me because the guy beside her had right away.  She should have stoped paddling when he dropped in there was enough room for me to finsh my drop and turn out of his way. So I felt a little less bad still feel bad but a little less. So when I go to get out Mario is all ready out and he looked so mad
Never have we had mad Mario. I get out and he is so mad his English is stuttering. He told me he does not care we are doing white water in the afternoon, we are going backwards. He was mad.
So we go home heads hung. Apparently he was bringing the whip and rope to tie shauna so her hip is in the right place. So we made a plan u see in Roma we got Mario a gift. It was so him we had to get it. So we get there Joe just gave us a look and we got in the van and we gave Mario his gift and said we were sorry for crashing and burning. He could not stay mad at us then.
What is this perfect gift u might get ur surf instructor.  I might add we spend at least 15 min driving there and back twice a day. So we do get to know him. Because we grill him no lol. The poor boy for having to be in a car with us for so long.
OK with out an more delay we got him a very mini jar of nutella. Because he loves nutella, like thinks Weare crazy for putting peanutbutter on our toast not nutella. And with all our driving he loves to make fun of the old man penchian cars. They are so tiny I think a motorcycle could be bigger.
He loved it this jar is so tiny u might get a peice of toast covered with it. he said he was going to put it inhis room to remember his Canadian girls.
The afternoon went ok.
That night a big storm rolled in and stupid us did not get our stuff when the first dark cloude rolled in. So our stuff was socked. Shauna rented a movie so we cuddled up to watch it. They get alot of wind with there storms. So the shutters banging all night kept me up then in the morning it blew ours open so the sun came right into my eyes.
This morning they did not know what it would be like with all the rain and wind there was only one place to go that would be sheltered enough. We get there and compared to the other days it was dead. So we did some white waters I got a beautiful green. Got slamed by another green witch Mario got upset about because I could have had it I just looked down. I can see why he gets up set, I get up set I should be catching these little waves.
So we were out of his bad books after that.
In the afternoon we got there and it was a little more crowded but shotly after we got there the other schools left. Ya.
So shauna and Mario are doing ground work and I go for a wave.
Oh yes big side not I slamed my shin hard into the board on Thursday I have a nice dent.
So my shin hurts like walking funny hurt. So I fall and my shin is going towards the board so I manage to move last min and save the shin a hard hit. It still hit but just not hard. The price paid was my chin. I am ok still got all my teeth. So I am laying on my board in pain and just let the board float in, thank fully it was low tied so I could do that. the look I get from Mario was price less he was so worried but prying not to laugh because I just go ug I died. Once shauna starts to laugh he calms down I rolled off the board and sit in the sand and shauna is like u sure u are ok, I was like yep be back to life in a few. And back out we went.
Good times.
Ohhhh I forgot one of the funniest things
It started to pour when we got to the beach and we are putting our wet suits on. So we all get in the van to get changed it was so funny Mario in the back us in the middle seats. Very hard to put on a wet suit when in a vanall hunched over. The best part is Mario was traped in. We had to let him. Out.
Good day in the hood.
Oh I said that  when we were getting charged in the van, and shauna is like what and so I say. Well we are right by the hood of the car.
 

Football and surf

Sunday we were informed of a big football game. So we decided to go watch it that night. But during the day we went for a walk along the beach. Shauna went to sun tan and I kept going. There was a guy out fishing on the rocks and he got an otapus it was so cool. He was showing it to a little girl that was there crab hunting with her mom, and so I walked over to see it and he like shoved it in my face to see I was to chicken to touch it.
Then just read in the sun most of the day.
That night we went to the bar to watch the game. 1€ for a glass of sangria.
It was the champion game and we'll the team every one was routing for lost. I thought the girl sitting at our table was going to start crying. Then to be funny she pulled out like three cigarettes to start smoking them all at once.
There was no mad party that night.
Back to surfing
We both had this one awasum afternoon were we caught green wave after green. I even got one turned and had it making the tunnel behind me and I stayed on the green part. That was the best one so far and I don't think I will ever for get it.
The others were ok alot more falls then getting up, yesterday I got up got into spot and fell off... Mario thinks eather the wind since it was very windy, or to much weight on the back leg. Or both.
Oh good news
Back track when we got here the put us on 7'6" boards hard.
I got moved down to a 7'2" board, ya I rock. It responds so differently on the wave. However u have to paddle so much harder to get it. To go and u have to wait for just the right moment to stand. If not u will miss the wave, or do a face plant.
Now the big crash so far.

so what happen well i was paddling my little arms off, curnt put me side ways so i did a beautiful bunch of log rolls.... the wave i was in caught up to a second one. so more tossing around. get to surface " covering my head, very windy day" come up under board.... stand up stunned......latter found out Mario did not catch wave i just stood there not resonding long enough for him to paddle closer to me.... 
I am ok and we'll I went back out to try again.
Today is Wednesday and we are taking a day off we are both physical tired from all the padling, and the wind is very bad making it hard to surf big swell, so all the schools would be in one place not fun. So day off ya. LOL my poor body hurts all over.

Happy birthday to me!

OK so the big birthday. Started of with my best friend wishing me a happy birthday ya go shauna.  So we suited up. Headed down to surf shack. Talked with Mairo and Joe about the surf today. We were out side looking at sky telling the clouds to take a hike. And Mario says oh girls come inside quickly. So we go inside and they have a little tart ( the oh so good amazing yummy tarts) with a candle and a little birthday sign. So the start to clap and sing what I think is happy birthday day, I don't truly know it got very fast in the middle. So I have now been wished happy birthday in Portuguese.
So off to get some waves, the morning went ok.
Then back to the house the sun final came out ya.
Back to afternoon surf, the waves were better so we paddled out to ketch some green waves. .... Did not get a single one.  It was up setting. I tryed very hard but for some reason I kept switching feet yep I would put my back one forward.  I am an odd cookie I need to concentrate harder.
After surf we went back to house got on the bikinis and went to the beach.
Got some great photos.
Then did some reading in the sun/ naping.
That night we went out to dinner with Mario and Joe. Went to the fish restaurant got fish, it was so cool they had shark in the display case. Wish it was not so expensive would have tryed it.
Then we went to the bar for coffee and drinks and chat. Then dancing once the dj got there. There were these two guys and they were dancing up a storm they were so funny to laugh at. They would try to dance with local girls and they would push them away. It was funny.
I said french Joe said gay french.
It was a great day and night.

Portugal get ur surf on

So Sunday was just a relax get the kinks out from sitting so long. Went to our favorite cafe bar for dinner.
Monday was when the hard work started.
We are on 6 and a half foot boards, and they are hard not foam.... Moving up in the surfing world. The dig difference is that it hurts now when you fall, hit the board, or the board hits you. I was very excited I got up on my very first green that I tryed to get. Felt awasum. Missed surfing and waves.
The water is cold like anckle numing, but thanks to the wet suits not to bad.
Got a few great waves enjoyed it so much.
Our morning lesson was at 9:30 and the afternoon one was at 4:30 well with in that time our body's let us now how much they love the new harder boards.
We went to the bakery and got us some of our favorite tarts they are very very good.
At 4:30 well get to wear our wetsuits down because we are surfing right in front of the house. Feel like a true surfer.
Ture to us we bring the clouds and the big waves.
We have now been sticking to the white waves. I can turn to my back side quite well witch is good because most waves here are braking left.
So as we are playing in the shallow safe water... Ya right. Let me introduced you to our new friends the backwards wave. Oh yes not only do waves hit you from the front now the back and the oh so fun when they collide.
The beach is sloped that is what alows for these back wards waves. You will be standing there if u can with the under toe and it will all ovasuden disappear and you can see the 2- 3 ' wave infront of u but not the 1-2' one behind u. What a sight it is to see the two colied and they will nock u on ur butt so fast. I was going to ketch one wave and did not look to see if a back wash one was coming my bad right there. I was just at the peak when the two colided. I was flung up into the air our tacher Mario was laughing his but off when I came up. There were some good fallls that day.
One day we went to a different beach and we were jumping over the waves no big so I go to jump over one... Well I mega underestimated it. My board did not even reach the top. Who knows my feet can touch my head. I did three full rotational how u might ask well other then my made skill to stay calm when be thrashed around under water. Because my head was so nicly draged through the sand. Plus it felt like doing sumersults in terms pool.
At the same beach it seemed very busy so I asked mairo is this bussy. " can u see sand" he loves to leave u guessing for more. So I guess it is a very very busy beach I can see why they avoid it.
So this morning went very well. I think I now know why I have such a hard time turning to my front side it puts alot of pressure on my left anckle.
But back side turn is going great.
This afternoon we padled out. Shauna managed to break her leash so her surf board started to run away.
I tryed to ketch some waves ony got in on two the first one I wentbto stand up wrong,  the second one I was doing great Mario was yelling up I started to get up then my brain kicked in I looked down and we'll I got to go for another roll.
Now trying to get out was just a peach. Because the tide was high rember the bank is sloped the waves were crashing right on the sand so we get into the break point on my arms are on fire from paddling so hard. And one wave just drops right from under me. So I get up and try to get my board that was my mistake should have just ran. I got slamed from behind and all I could think was shot as my board came up in the air from a back wave and all I could see was it hitting me in the face. How my board missed me I don't know when I came up to the air my board was not far off I grabbed it and ran up the slop draging my board. Then I sat down and watch shauna get tossed by the waves. We have so much sand in our hair I am still picking it out and I have showered hair has dryed and this was over four hours ago. My shoulders and arms hate to move so more reading in the sun is in order.
I will hopefully but up all the birthday fun we get up to on Sunday.

5am to 2am

We got up at 5 am car was to come at 6am flight to Roma 8:45. The car showed up at 5:30.
We checked in no problem I was even over weight because I forgot to take out all the clothing I planed to wear. But she said no problem.
I was so tired I remember the initial speed up but not the wheels coming off the ground. I woke up and was like man we are taxing still then I noticed ever one was eating, my tummy was grumbling but I didn't think I could get my meal since they were colecting everyone else's so back to sleep. I did scare the crap out of shauna. I tryed to get her ipod so I could plug the earphones in and listen to the movie but the cord was under one of her fingers.
We got to Roma
Now it was cheaper for us to but two tickets then one with layover.
Did u know that u can only check into a flight 3 hr before a flight. We were 9 hr before our flight. There were no plugs two little cafes that was it. Took so long shauna had a nap.
So it was check in time. I get all my layers out. We were under weight and she did not even question our backpacks yaaa.
Ohhhh funny side not. At both air ports I set off the medial detector.  And got thorly felt up. One women even un tucked my shirt and ran her finger along the inside of my pants.
We got boarded no problem after waiting another three hr. So we were in 24 so the back of the bus. So I am walking along and it is all full at the back so I I say excuse me to the woman in my seat and show her my ticket she laughed and said go talk to someone. So I found the guy showed him my ticket and he says ok can you please just wait here. So shauna joins me there is five of us waiting to be seated, he did offer us water.
We got to sit up front. We had the rudest most obnotice people behind us. They were calling and yelling and talking very loud. Constantly kicking our seats. Did not get much sleep and it was a late night flight.
We land just before 11pm. Got our bags and go out, but can not see our guy any were and no one had our sign. So finally I go out side to see if he is weighting there. And sure enough there is the van. So I go back get the bags and shauna and away we go. We get back to the surf house and he said there were three french man there and there was a bbq going on when he left. And sure enough the back is filled with people well 8 plus us three so we go out there talk a bit. It is 2 am and decided to go to bed since we did loose two hrs. What a long boring day.

You can call me lady killer

After watering and other farm work we were running late did not get off till 12. My cellphone starts to go off. So I answered it.... OK we need to fast forward or rewind, yes rewind
Wednesday when playing backgammon we realized that we did not know the two guys names,  one of them goes you can call my lady killer.. That was it. We had to ask his friend for his name so he will be lady killer. Now fast forward and the other guy I had trouble saying his name right so I was allowed to call him honey.
Oh funny side Story when we were playing backgammon with every one, shauna had to us the washroom so we called lady killer over to ask were it was. well he picked shauna up and started to run up this hill to take her to the bathroom. Yep it was awesome. Every one at the table were laughing so hard.
OK so there u have it they will be ladykiller and honey for this blog.
So we are just about to start walking back my phone starts to ring, it is honey. He asked if we wanted to go to the beach, and just as he asked if fall and twist my ankle. So I hand the phone to shauna because I have very bad words that want to come out of my mouth. So shauna talks to them as I decided if it was broken or just being a pain. So it was decided that we would go to the beach. We were to meet in 25 min at the hotel. Now on a good day the walk is 20min. But with my now gimp walk it took longer. We got our gear and away we went. We went back to turtle beach. But went in a different spot. They thought the water was cold. Shauna and honey tag teamed me to get me dunked under the water. It was alot of fun. The bottom was very sandy and gradually got deeper. So it was great. Sadly the camara battery was dead both of them so no photos.
We were walking  down the beach and there were guys playing football and the ball landed in the water infront of us.... Honey told me a had to kick it back so I tryed well I kicked the top of the ball...it just went deeper in the water so second go I got it honey was laughing the guys had a quick conversation witch ended in all them all laughing, I can only guess at my mad football skills.
The droped us off ladykiller had to work.
Me and shauna decided to go for drinks. We ended up at ladykillers work we got sex on the beach and the owner was like oh give them an extra shot of vodka... So we mix it in with the drink. It was close to closing and honey was folding the table cloths and the owner goes you will make a very good house wife and winks at me.
So the two guys come to our table and they say if we can down our drinks they are on the house so I only had a little left. So they finsh closing they we move to another area were a restaurant has closed me shauna and honey sit down lady killer shows up with beer. So we drink our beer and go for a walk. End up walking around the harbor, and sitting on the stone wall looking at the sea and stars. Honey is very intersting know 5 launages, turkish, rushan, german, English, airabick. Works for six months of the year then travels in the winter. Use to own a hand bag shop before having to surve in the military. There is alot of military on that side of the island. Also found out that they put a hormone supesent in there food because when surving in the military u have to be celibate.
I got home around 2 am, nicly buzed. Woke up at 5:30, good chance I was still buzed, I went to work shauna called in sick. It was very hot out again. Got home from work packed did laundry.  Went to play backgammon with M.  Got there first. So honey played with me and once again there was a bet.  He wins I have to come back to Cyprus or turkey some day, if I win (I tryed to get him to go to Canada but no luck way to cold) so now he has to go to Australia.
We were playing first to five. What an intense game there was a couple sitting next to us and they had a good time laughing at us each game came down to the last toss. It was very very intense. Won't lie there was trash talking. We had to leave the game to be continued it was 3/3 and he had to go get ready it was opening night at his place he worked at. Shauna came down so I waited for her we had a game of backgammon, then we left I went to pay and the woman that owns the place is so great she gave us a great deal 10 tl for what should have been around 20tl. We run into honey at his new job, he looked very good. I might add that all the guys that worked there were over an 8 tobad it opened our last day. We are at home talking with the girls and decided to not to go to disco and honey calls saying he was off work and that we should go meet him.
Back track after backgammon we walk to the farm for dinner and a boom fire can b ever cook. As we are having the boom fire I tested Is ( the man who is full time worker on farm) to say good buy. Next thing he calls and comes over to say goodbye. The group got us a cake it was so good. It was a wonderful evening and I will miss that group alot. They made the work away that much better.
OK so me and shauna head down to the waterfront we met up with the guys but this time honey had another friend we will call him chef because that was all I could understand.... Honey even got me a rose.
So we head back had to get some sleep oh ya shauna got mad at honey he changed his shoes and shauna want me to see them because they were the very nice Italian shoes.
I went the full day on maybe 3 hr of sleep very proud of my self and did not get grumpy till the very end go me.
That is it for Cyprus amazing time and I will go back.

Boat tour and tropical fish (long)

So dinner Tuesday night. We had omelets. The eggs came from the farm, there were chicken and duck eggs. M made the omelets, and B made the salid. To cook the omelets we used the camp stove J built. It is very neet u light a fire inside then cook on top. Then we put every thing on the floor and all sat around and ate. It was very nice. Such a lovely evening.
Wednesday we decided to do our own group outing. We were going on a boat tour. On Tuesday me and shauna went down to the harbor to get our tickets. We did not know exactly how many people were going. We get to the six brothers boat. We look at the boat earlier in the week but he got us on again. And they advertise free snorkeling. So I asked to see the gear. It was two masks and one snorkel. I knew me and shauna and M were going for shere and we would all want to snorkel. So we say thank you we are going to talk to others we will let them know.
So we walk down went to look at another boat asked about the snorkeling gear. He had 8 brand new sets. Same price as the other one. Smaller boat but less people. It also got its food from the restaurant that we play backgammon. As me and shauna are waiting to pay my phone started to ring. Now we had had a possible propane leak since we got there. It was the hotel saying there were people there to look at it. So I hand Shauna the key tell her she needs to book it back to the apartment. I was paying so it was ok. So she takes off the guy comes over to talk every thing over because I did not know how many people were going 3,4,5. So we decided that me and shauna would pay in full and then the others could pay tomorrow. So I pay it was 40tl. What u got was lunch, snack, three beachs, with at least and hr to swim at each.
So I start to go back and on my way the guy at the other place says now u come with us. I said sorry no we have decided to go with another company. He said please tell me why. I said the snorkeling gear. Then he said we could go buy it cheep at store. I just responded that I already payed him. And walked away.
Now something to note. For a later blog to come. As we were looking for boat tours they are mixed in with the restaurants. So u get asked to come in for a drink or eat. The good part is that if you say no thank you, they back off. As we make our way down this one guy starts a conversation with us. So we get talking oddly enough B had also been talking with him. He thought it was great that the three of us were living together. So we talked to him and his friend for a bit. And they were all upset that they had not seen us before. So I tell themthat they have met me before, because his friend was the one that called me American. It was funny.
So ya keep those two guys in mind they will be making another aperance.

Now the big day Wednesday the big boat tour.
Oh you may be wondering why we were able to go on the tour and not at the market belly dancing. Our boss was away so no market.
Boat left at 10:30 had to be there for 10. We get there right before ten. Great timing.
M and J came with us B decided to work because every one else were taking off.
Off the 4 of us go on our adventure.
There was about 20 people on the boat, there was lots of space you could lie in the shade or sun.
We get to the first beach, so I go and ask for the gear. We all got a new pair and a couple got a pair. The couple and m were all ready in the water. We were having trouble adjusting them. I was very sad to find out that they were all to big for my face no mater how tight the sides would come off. Thank fully the women came back on the boat here's was a kids so I switched her. It worked out great.
The first beach had two rock outcrops to explore. Shauna, m, and,j.  Could not breath out of there snorkel. The water was crystal clear. There were fish of all sizes. The bottom was mostly sand. Then we got back on boat and got lunch. It was a very good lunch. Then we were off again. Me and shauna wanted to lay in the sun but most of the beds were taken. Then we spyed beds on the roof. We had to figure out how to climb up there. We managed to get up there. We had 8 beds all to our self, it was great. The next beach was explore beach. Now you have to pay to get on it. They hamics in the water,there was a boat offering pair guiding. But the best part was this island oh rocks. After looking at the others gear I noticed that there was no hole in the snorkel, so there were still sealed shut. We found one that was open. For shauna. The boys were on the island trying to find a place to jump off. Ps we only used the latter to get out. Jumping off different points was funner. Tons of fish , but I great videos just swimming around. It was so clear I had an amazing time just looking around. Another boat came and I watched and hurd his ancor drop that was so cool.
From there we made our way to a third beach. Oh something to note, that couple from Australia that also did snorkeling and I switched gear with her, we'll we talked with them alot. Oh also attached the hotel and resorts along the cost had elevators to get down to the beach.
So associated we are sailing to our next spot M and J joined us up on top it was a great place to get sun. So we stop at our third and final beach. At the last place me and shauna were contemplating if we could jump off the top there. We told the boys and sure enough M went first and then Shauna then J and now it is my turn at this point every one is watching us at this point. ... I went to jump and tryed very hard but was not able to keep in the squal. I could here the people anthem boat chuckling. Then I got my camara and got video of the others jumping. J did a flip twist. It was so much fun the intended think a total between 8 and 10 people got in the water. Why you would go on a boat tour to breaches to swim and then not I don't know. It was alot of fun. At one point I tryed to dive but lost my footing and did a graceful belly flop.
It was a very great day. We got back around 4:30. Me and M decided to play backgammon. Shauna asked if we were going to go to the place with the hot guys. I said sure we knew they had a board. The Australian couple went home to shower.
Now when me and shauna were talking tothe guys before we talked about backgammon. It sounded like the may have set it up differently. So we got a board M got his coffee and me and shauna got milkshakes the woman that owns it is very nice. She always puts extra chocolate in our milkshakes. Me and m were half way through our game when u guys showed up for work. So they pulled up chairs to join us. Something to note. Almost all the guys that work in the harbor are hot or atlest good looking. They dress very nicely. They were very very easy on the eyes. So one of them.... I will give you the names latter.... So me and one of the guys set up to play. It was set up the same way. And he goes so we are betting the bet we maid yesterday I was like no... The other day when talking about playing he want to bet " I win I get you, you win you get me" so I was like no not agreeing to that. M is convinced that they go to school to become smoth talkers. So we play he wins. I play four others, one of them was shauna yaaa they smoth talked shauna into playing yaaaaaa so after wining some games he decided to take me on again. So again he wanted bet so we had to explain in Canada a bet only counts if you shake on it. So shauna pipes up she wants a chocolate cake. So the bet was he won he came to the farm and had dinner with us. If I will he had to make us chocolate cake. So it was a very intense game. It came down to the roles and I won it was all very exciting.  After a few more games of different people playing. He left to go buy stuff to make cake the group of us went to dinner. Went to this roof top place with a view over looking the harbor. Then it was off to bed had to get up and water the next morning 5:30 comes early.

Another week down

Me and m play backgammon so much fun. On Friday night me and M decided to try out a casino. We go to one he picked out. We enter and the first floor is all slot machines. The second floor is cards. We stand and watch them play poker, it was called lucky poker. It was very odd. All the players showed each other there cards. They could buy more cards. Very interesting to watch. Then there was rolet tables, watched that for some time. We got to see atlest three staff changes.
They also had rushan poker. Once again they would show each other there cards. Very odd to me.
On our way home , (M instead on walking me home since it was after midnight. ) as we are walking past the strip of resurants on the harbor, this on guy yells at me hay you American girl. Well normal I just ignore them but that night I don't know some thing snaped. So I spin around and say I am Canadian not American thank you very much. He said come sit talk I said no thank you and continued to keep walking M was laughing.
Saturday we worked
Sunday we took a trip back to the beach so I forgot to put this last time across the road were u get the bus there is a farm, dog, chickens, peekhouck, horses donkeys and ostriches. Yep he has ostriches . It is so cool to see them just wondering around.
So the beach was just as beautiful the second time, but this time J can and he brought goggles.  He was nice enough to share with us yaaaaaa well it was so cool to see. Sadly I did not take my camara with me to swim.
Got to see fish.
We had these two met sit about seven feet away from us. Now J and M. Decided to set up right near the walk way, me and shauna went farther down to the nicer sand. So these two guys show up one in 40 other 30. And shauna was replaying sunscreen. So these two were joking around about coming to talk to us they kept saying to drink more beer, at one point on said something about helping with suncrean. It was hard to fully easdrop because it was a mixture of English and turkey.
Tuesday we had a group dinner at the farm house it was very good.

Fancy hotel restaurant

We have been to so many castles. This one is one of the best just for the fact that it is though to have inspired Walt Disney for the castle from snow White it is so cool you can see the drawings from Disney and other people and they are very similar.
You are not able to walk up the road to the castle you must take a car. So if you don't have a car you must take a cab. The reason for this is because it is surrounded by military. They have what looks like a training camp set up.
So the bosses driver drove us up well there was 5 volunteers going so we had the three girls and one guy cramed into the back of the truck and it was a good thing we were all so tiny. Now this driver MM he is crazy he should be a race car driver. But it is funny to see howhe drives so differently when the boss is in. The car. He is a perfect driver don't think he ever goes over the speed limit. When she is not in the car look out. Drifting around corners skidding the tires it just funy to see the night and day change.  Don't get me wrong he is a great driver I have never not felt safe but it is nerve wracking just in the fact that they drive on the other side of the road here.
So he drives us up the hill we stop at this military check point and he is taking to the gaurds you can tell they are joking and apparently he reached over and un zipped a pocket and took something out then put it back in. So we keep going up, and he told us well we think he told us that he is in or was in the military. Posable as a driver it was hard the hand signals were not that visabe from the back.
So we get to the top well top of the road were the castle is we get out he takes us into the ticket both talks with the man. It was 7tl(turkish leara) to get in. So away our group goes. We every thing was well signed and very easy to tell were you were and what the room use to be. They had a information thing at the start and they had a map of the place with sketchings of each place. So you had an idea of what you were about to see. The high light for me other then the view from the top was the old wall going up the mountain it just blows my mind that man kind could make something like that.
It was very stunning.
So the driver was coming back in two hrs we got back down with twenty minutes to spare. And he was already there. So he was talking with a guy and the guy said he was taking us to the big solder. We ended up driving to this look off were you can see the other side of the mountains. It was so weird it is so flat. Tons of farmland. So different then our side of the mountain because we are between the sea and the mountain. The other side is just flat.
So we get back and call the boss. She tells us we are going to dinner at the onix (fancy hotel restaurant). She tells us to pick a time. So

So we call the boys with three good peices of news.one she is going to reimburse us for our trip to the castle, 2 we now have hot water in the shower witch is amazing once you have shower in ice cold you realy apriciate a nice hot shower. 3 we are going to the onix for dinner. Now D has been wanting to go to the onix for some time. He was very excited . We pick 8 as our dinner time and the boys were to come to our place to shower.
We got ready. Because it can still be quite chilly in the evening I was going to wear pants since I have no long dresses or skirts. B let me borrow one of her long dresses so that was nice. It was such a lovely dress.
We get there and they don't have any tables for big groups all they have are small round ones so we push two together.
The menu is on an i pad, that is right an i pad how cool is that u could click on something and see picture of it. I was extremely impressed by that. It was so cool. So I got pan ti
It was ok B also got it and she said it was not good compared to other ones she has had. We also got wine.
After dinner we had chocolate sufla. It was very good.  And apparently it is not on the menu only the bosses boyfriend can order it, felt very special.

It was a great day

Monday wondered around town got lost. Then worked
Tuesday wondered around town did not get lost had desert before 12.
Wednesday well to day was market day. So out came the belly dancing outfits. I could not find pants but thankfully B let me borrow hers.
I did end up dancing it was alot of fun but we did not sell much, lots of people looking. It was fun wehad this group of kids watch us for a long time. We tryed to get them to dance but no. It was a very fun day at the market.

Turtle beach

We have now started working in the morning or evening for five hours because it is becoming to hot in the day to work. Basically all we are doing is watering everything.
I started to walk bunny what a lovely dog and she reminds me of kea so much. We got six new baby chickens the boss got them at the market get to watch them grow up that will be fun.
Another volunteer came B she is from BC so it iscool to have another Canadian grl. The boys moved to the farm house.
On Saturday we decided to take a group trip to the beach ya. So me and shauna and B and D went to the waterfront to look around went back got our swimwear and away we went. Got a bus. It was a good fifteen minutes walk to the beach from the road. D and J had been there last weekend so he took comanad and lead us to the next little cove beach over. Now these beaches are special Because it is were sea turtles come to lay there eggs. Sadly we will not be here for that.  Very fine sand. It was a beautiful beach. We went swimming it was worm water very nice. It was so clear wish I had goggles it would be great place to snorkel. There was this rock out crop and it looked like it had under water caves. It would be amazing to snorkel there.

When we got back we decided to go out for dinner.
Oh major side not. We do not have hot water in the shower in is ice cold water. I shower with my head upside down so the water does not touch my body. After the hair is washed I go to the other bathroom it has a sink and tolit and I use a face cloth to was the rest of me. For some reason that sink has hot water.
OK so we went to dinner D went to the farm to get changed and to see if J and the new guy that arrived that day M wanted to come with us. So D and J show up at our place and we head off to dinner. We found this little place looked good. It was in B lonely Planet Book so that was cool. I have no idea what I got what it was called. It was like pitia bread with cheass on it.  B got the something but her cheese was the kind that they make in Cyprus. It was good but I don't think I would like alot of that kind of cheass. So after dinner we go to this cafe that had tons of deserts. I got this chocolate cake it was so good so yummy.
The next day B and M were going to the farm with the boss to see it and work a little. So the boss shows up at our place with presents.
Need to back track last Wednesday at the market the boss and shauna got talking about belly dancing. Then the boss wanted us to belly dance at the market I said no thank you right away. Shauna however seamed like she was on board and excited. Later I found out she did not want to do it. So our boss shows up with three belly dancer out fits. Now these out fits our amazing. They are hand made actual outfits like professionals wear these. She had them flown in from istanbul. They cost way to much. But they are beautiful. There is red gold and pink. I got the pink because it was the biggest cup size. We are going to get Safty pins and pin the skirts to our pants. Now apparently shauna is going to dance from my understanding I don't know if she was just going along again guess I will see on Wednesday. I am going to just be surrving tea. I am comfortable enough to do that but there will be no dancing coming from this girl.
They are beautiful there is a picture up on my face book Page. Oh and I don't think B will be wearing one. She way wear just the skirt over pants and not the top.

So B and the boss head off to the farm. After cleaning the house and eating me and shauna head to the farm to see what every one else is doing for the day.
The boss suggested a group outing to the castle up on the hill. We can see it from the farm.

Chicken naming

So we started work at 6:30 this morning. We had a local rooster wake up the apartment at 4:30 sun rise is 6:18. I think if it keeps up we will be having chicken for dinner.
So we got to the farm shauna was going to water green house and stuff that hose could not reach. I did everything else. So shauna goes to the green house I decided to start at the back work my way forward. I turn the water on and walk to the back. All I here is rushing water. So I walk towards the water tank and water is gushing out a gallon a minute easy. So I run to the lunch zone were my bag and cell phone is call D Wake her up she calls people now we had this problem yesterday so thankful I knew who to call and she understood when I said water problem again. Because no one else was to come to the farm till 9 and it is 630. We had no keys to unlock the gates. Thankfully the back gate was left open.
So after that excitement I went to start the watering. Some one came fixed it. It took my full five hour shift to do all the water. There is that much just so you get and idea of how big this place is. Shauna finished way before me and weeded the row that we are preping to plant next.
Once I was done it was quiting time and almost lunch time. So we sit at the lunch table and some of the chickens came over. So we named them well one was named yesterday,  I named a hen gladis yesterday. So you got roger the rooster, then his hens gladis, lusial, sookie, and phillis. Then there is the roster that has no hens that stocks the others he crows alot so some times he is ugly or annoying. Dapending on the moment. Then we decided to count the chickens and ducks and we can't find one chicken and there was a cat snooping around the chicken coop this morning who I got with the hose. Scared the living daylights out of the poor thing.
We found her in the hen house. But we got a plesent surprise when we went in the chicken coop we had six baby's our boss got them at the market the other day so we are hoping they are hens so ugly can have some lady's and maybe that will make him shut up.
It was a good day. Still no hot water in the shower. Had to flip head up side down to cold to stand under water.

Cyprus hobby farm

Today on the farm lol
So odd to say.
So last night the boss shows up with our cell phones yep we have cell phones. MOM we will have to come up with a time to talk.
So she said she would call us in the morning because there is a market and she wanted us to help out. So we wait and wait no call at like 8:30 we go to the farm because still no word from her and the boys had all ready headed out.
So we get there and she is all good morning nothing about not calling us. So we go and help pick vegetables well greens to sell.
Then we are off to the market. It is a very big market. So we set up. Sell a few things. mostly stood there.
She got her driver to drive us back. We'll the steering wheels are on the right side and the drive on the other side of the road. It is so freaky, the roundabout is the most nearve racking part because you go in it back wards.
Back at the farm we had lunch... Well it was ok.
After lunch we finished the second trench so lots of mixing dirt to put in, and then planting. We planted turnip yaaaaaa.
Then some unbearing the poor baby's got covered so we had to find them. Then so weeding, well most of them have thorns it is not fun. I got one in my finger hurt so bad. Then it was quitting time.
After work we went back to the market, because we have no clothing to work in. Spent 35 leara and got pants and two boys tanktops lol.
Going to look so sexy tomorrow. Will come home with some nice tans.
On a sad happy note my boots (black dress ) they bottom is giving out so I will have to toss them, good not less weight and I get to buy new ones.
Well I am off to bed 5:30 comes nice and early

First day on the farm

We got up at 7:30.  The guys head out any time between 8 and 830. We got up I put on my jeans hiking boots and a white and green three quarter length shirt that I do not care about then a sweater.
The guys we work with are nice funny and help full.
The owner R came over to meet us that was nice. Went over somethings then we all walked together to the farm.
They have 3 adult dogo argintinos and 4 pups. 5 ducks and chickens. Then lots of plants.
So we get there and the dogs were so excited R has been gone for 3 weeks it was her first day back.
So we did a walk through got to see the green house and all the gardens.
We helped move plants from the green house to the garden. Then we planted.
To make the garden rows one guy uses a pick ax to dig the ditch then u go around behind him and remove the dirt by hand into buckets.  Then lunch it is suplyed by the hotel
For lunch
White been salid, soup, spegiti and almond bread and then as much fruit as you want. After lunch it was back to the trenchs
LOL witch works because it was a mini trench that we are diging.
So then I was tasked with the riping of card board job. It had been socking in water and had to rip it apart Athens into little squares. Texas water was dark and mysterious.
Then we had to mix the dirt to fill the trunch we dug out. Did that.
But now tomorrow we can plant tomorrow.
It was a good day and it ended with making juice out of left over fruit so we had apple juice pear and orange. It was very good.
I think it was a great day, got to find myself a hat.
Very excited think it will be fun.
Mega down side do not have hot water.  Showering in stone cold water in not fun or refreshing.

Farm life here we come!

So got up at 6:30 get on a train heading to Rome. Well we have to switch trains near the end so had to ask around it was confusing but we made it. As the train pulled up people got on and this one guy infront of me turns at the top and grabs my handle to help me then I stow it and he wanted to put it up top I say no. And try to get back to the door to help shauna.  But he is in the way. This older man was helping shauna and the young guy takes the bag from him and then puts her bag up and then helps her with her back pack. He moves my bag on top of hers before I can say anything. So we go sit down and a few mins latter the you guy comes up holding out his hand with a sad sad face on. Well I had no coin on me and if I did I would not be paying. I did not ask for help he just did it. If I would have been thinking I should have offered him an apple..
The train ride was uneventful iventfull.
Got to the airport. I have forgotten what it is like to fly with a nice airline. We were greated with a smile treated nicely. We get on the plane and it was a little over half full.
We got headphones they put on just for laughs. Then we got a drink and a little bag of peanuts you could move to what ever seat you wanted. Then the put on 17 again the movie with greek subtitles.  Then we got super, rost with noodles, role with butter, and a little desert like cream puffs, we also got another drink. Then tea or coffee.  It was a very pleasant flight we had mostly blue skys so we could see alot it was soo cool because we flew down the cost of Italy and then we passed over the islands it was very nice.
Until (doom noice) there was turbulence and we were at the back of the plane so I sucked you should not go sideways in a plain. Just saying.
So that was ok got over it the movie helped. So we come up to cypers and fly over it then fly towards the ocean turning and getting lower and lower and the landing gear comes out the turblance picks up all you can see is ocean out the window..... Lower and lower, finally as we are just about to and you see beach and run way. It is very very close to the ocean. Was not fun, I was death griping my arm won't lie. Sucked that shauna laughed at me for having stiff hands from griping,  but every one has there thing. Flying is not one of mine I will do it with out a word, but still I don't enjoy it.

Oh oh back up the bus
In Roma airport had to go through passport check and got my second stap yaaaaaa you can't read it but it is there so great.
OK so we land and have to go through passport control again and got another stamp. Oh ya I rock.
So we get our luggage it was hot in the air port so I am putting my laiers away in my suit case oh ya I weighed in at 19.7 it was great.
So we are supposed to be picked up and we look at the sings but non have our name so we stand there wondering what to do. And a guy shows up and has a sign with our names.
Now have had two signs with my name moving up in the world look out.
So we ear will not pop so I get it. The back. They drive on the opesit side it is so weird.
We get to the turkey boarder and we give the driver our passports he goes and get us turkey visas.... They are a peice of paper that says vias and you passport information and another stamp. Oh ya.
So once we get over the border the guy gets out and puts a taxi light on his roof. We pull up to this hotel the Rocks hotel and casino. Well there is a jagyer parked out front. Very very expensive looking hotel. He gets out I guess to ask directions,  and shauna turns to me and is like the metter is running it is at 40 already. I am like I hope they are paying because we did not know we would be paying for a cab.
So he gets back in and drives us around the city to this apartment building and says this is were you live. He unlodes our bags a young guy greats us we will call him J and then the cab takes off.
Now we are pretty confused because we thought we would be on a farm not in a city.  So we meet another guy D. There is another girl living there as well. So me and shauna share a room we each get our own bed.
We found out that the farm was just a 20 min walk. We do not have Internet at the apartment but we are able to go to a hotel and eat there and use the Internet,  and it is the facy rocks one. So we were talking fiindkng out about the guys we are going to be working with, more about the job the owner. It was nice.
We walked to the hotel to us the Internet. Sadly my play book died.
Then to bed because I wanted to go to the farm with the guys in the morning to check it out. Very exciting.

Big ego

Not much has been going on. Headed back to Florence to get our luggage met to girls from the USA. We did spend one full day in Florence and it was am awesome amazing day. Well to start off with we all slept in it was great since I have not been sleeping well on thous ofle mattress. Then we went to a park it sucked. Very un kept and no flowers just trees and hedges. So we head into the castle that we visited last time. It was so hot and sunny out it was great.
The gauren was beautiful. All the green was out. Shauna took lots of photos, I got to play model. It was great, I had alot of fun evening if I could not look peaceful.. I even tried my hand at taking photos I rocked.
It was a great stress reliefer day.

Wondering on an island

We decided to wonder around, you can not truly get lost on an island. We did try to find sait marks. And we did after lots of wondering. The church was so amazing it celing was all gold mosic. It was stunning so much good. We did not pay to see the stolen marko body. The square was interesting the restaurant cafe around it had full bands playing a hot chocolate was 10€.
The sun came out, so we headed back to the hostel,  on the way we stop at this little restaurant. It was all locals in there the food was good. Very friendly men they would say bye when they left or we left it was odd.
Back at the hostel we got our sunglasses took more clothing off. I took a quick nap by accident.  so we got going and decided to explore the last part of the island. We walked and found this nice little steep area to sit down. It was very peaceful to just sit in the sun.
So because there are no cars here the police have boats with lights and all. We were to slow to get our camera out and get a photo of the police boat ziping by.
We decided to try and refund the Chinese restaurant for dinner.

As we are walking to the Chinese place. I get the hicups as I am holding my breath shauna graves my sides and yells at me. Well I squiled and jumped. People look at us and we are laughing so hard. We must have looked mega crazy.
Nothing much happened after that got strawberries for 2€ .

Gondola ride in Venice Italy

Well, the rest of the train ride was good till the end. There was a family of five sitting across from us there oldest daughter was sitting beside me. The second stop is also called Venice but there is a different name after it so they asked if this was the Venice station they needed we said no. So we are sitting and wating. Next thing they are rushing the sings on the train say the stop we need so we are all rushing to get off. There was a couple sitting under our bags and the had hurd us and they explained that this was not our stop they just changed the signs for the next stop. At this point the family was off and the train was moving. so we did get off at the right stop. You need to take a bus, but no normal bus a water bus. It was 7€ . And it was awesome. So we get off and fallow the directions they were good directions. We arrived and cross the private bridge over a Canale.
It was sunny and calling for the rain that night and morning so we went right out to explore.  Explore we did. We had a couple guys ask about gondola rides but they all wanted 80€ so we sadly passed. We got talking with one driver and he offered 60€ and they do not run in the rain. So we went for it.  Sometimes you have to splurge.
Was it ever worth it. Oh back track on our walk we got a small bottle of wine like the size of a beer bottle. So as we were getting on he said you are all set with your bottle of wine.
So we opened our wine it was a twist off top. It was an amazing thing to sip wine and cruise along.
Oh dad we got to see the watershed from the Italian job oh ya so cool.
From there we just walked more found a Chinese restaurant had dinner went back to the hostel.

Castle at lake como

Woke up to a beautiful sunny day. It was very exciting to seethe sun. There was still fog over the mountains but the sun was shining so you know it will burn off. As we ate breakfast to the amazing views of the snow covered mountains and talking about places to see and go with other guest. It was just heavenly.
We set off for the town that a girl we hung out with in Florence.  E she is the one that told us to go to lake como. We got down and caught a ferry over to the town with the train. We don't have any time to spare before the train is there so we book it up the hill. We get to the train stop and the building isfully locked, there isn't were to buy tickets. We ask one man he tells us to goto the bottom of the hill at the Torisum both or on the train. We look atour watch there is no way we can go down and back in less then five minutes let alone get tickets. We decided to try and buy our tickets on the train.
We got on at the front of the train the sign we read said to get tickets from the conductor so to me front ofthe train seemed like a good bet.
We walk from car. To car trying to find some one. Finally we found a woman we got our tickets, they were no more expensive so that was good because we had maybe 15€ and we hadn't clue how much theride would be.
We arrived in nthe town around 11 we are to meet E at 12 at the train station. So we go for a wonder around town, find an atm go down to the lake. There were so many swans. I have not seen so many with were ever were and it is spring so the males were swimming around all puffed up and strutting there stuff. Very funny to watch. I love watching the wildlife they are so intersting to watch there behavior expecially spring time.
We wondered back up to the station. Well we were taking up all the space on very tiny steeps. Not really but it felt that way. The steeps were very large like long, and every one wound walk up them were we were sitting. Shauna had to move for one women. Why they had to walk the extra steeps to were we were in do not know.
Once E showed up we went down to the water from the girls got capahino I got hotchocolate. Well the guy was so nice he gave us little pink marange things. It was some of the best hot chocolate ever. So great it may even beat out rome. It was very good.
E had to run to work so we went and got our train tickets back but we had an hour to till. Window shopping was not an option because it was after one and all the shops close from one to three. We found a cool cortyead inside a shopping center. Who ever designed these places are litk hay let's remove the roof and put in a cort yead let's and a random balcony for fun. Some things are so different.
We got back to the town that is just across the lake from our place. There is a castle somewhere so we decided to go there. We went to the Torisum both she said it was 20 min hike. So off we set well it was 20 min up a steep hill. Shauna was were her new flats and we'll they had no grip. She was slipping on the mule trail we were walking up. That is right not a road not a hiking trail a mules trail.
We took two half times on at this rock that was sticking out of the wall. No laughing it was very interesting. Next we stoped at this little watering fountain. As we walked away shauna want to get its picture so as she headed back down I could here the squalls as she would slip. Was going to be an interesting trip down.
We came to this little town I pray they have a road because if nott, if I was living there there is no way I would be walking that every day I would become such a hurmit.
We got to the castle and guess what more hills and stairs. It was 4€ and you got a peice of paper with the history and information about the castle.
As shauna was reading the paper I watched two lizards make babies it was very interesting, at first I though they were fighting.
At this castle they still did falconry it was funny we walked up the hill and there was two hocks and a barn owl just chilling. They also had a great horned owl at the entrance. They had suits of armer hanging around I picked up an arm price and it was so heavy. Could not imagine how heavy all of it would be.
Then you climb these steeps that are made out of stone and are just hanging out of the wall. It was very sketch steeps but the payoff was worth it because we got to see a draw bridge it was so cool it moved under your feet. Once in the tower there were more stairs to climb. These were food and even more sketchy then the rock ones. Totly feel like we should have signed a wavor. Just to look at these stairs. However you could see the crank to pull the draw bridge up. Then they had fosles just hanging out in the middle of the tower it was so cool to see they were found on the grounds and they are of sea lizards. It was very cool.kinda like there were dragons in the tower.
We walked down around the outer wall. There was still an old gate standing so I tryed my best to do my best gaurd impersonation. I just looked constipated but shauna had a good laugh. There were these stairs that leed down under the castle. So I made shauna go first since it was dark.
Well we get down there and there are two paths one you can kind of see the other pitch black. This family with three young boys can down so we let them go first. There was some armer but other then that itvwas just dark and wet. The celing was driping water.

Oh rewind, shaunas camara died witch sucked because it was a great view from the top of the tower.  We decided to go pee before going back down. Well we experienced our first hole in the floor. Now it was a fancy hole but a hole non the less so I go in take a picture and just stair at it. I had no idea what to do. So I go back out and I look and shauna and say how she just laughs and said no idea. Thankfully there was a handicap stall. There was a toilet but no seat not sure how some one handey cap can squat but then again no idea how they would get up there.
OK so walking back down still laughing about the hole in the floor. Only thing we can think is take pants fully off.
So as we walk down we noticed a sign for a water fall. It was certainly steep down hill so igo down to see if I can see it. Nope I didn't find it.
Second go and get on the fary and take it around the center of the lake. It took close to two hours to do and we did not get off any were. For a dog to go on the ferry if they are over 20 ponds they must have a muzzle. If they are smaller they must stay on your lap. If off your lap must be muzzled. What a great rule very simple and straight forward.
After our two hour ferry ride we get back to our town and decided to get some dinner. We went back to the restaurant that we met the greats couple ever. I got this pasta thing that one of the girls from the hostel had suggested. I don't know what kinda pasta it was because it was gray and had stuff I. It. It came with some type or greens and potatoes and lots of cheass all mixed together it was very good. I understand why it is one of her favorites.
Back at the hostel we planed out the rest of the trip. All that is left is to book the flights.
we got up this morning and got ready we were running a little late and made it to the ferry with 2min to spair. From there we gout our train tickets at the bottom of the hill. Then the hour wait for the train. Now we are on the train on our way to Venice.  The sinking city.

Switzerland for chocolate why not

Last night after we got pizza we got talking to a girl from Australia and a guy from USA. The guy was going to climb a mountain today but it was going to rain witch it did. So we decided to get a bus into Switzerland.
Off we went to ketch the bus. The three girls it was alot of fun we got stoped on our way into Switzerland and the guy came on the bus and just gave everyone a hard stair. We got into town and first off we were in the town beside the town we were supposed to be in. So we look in a map and just had to cross this river into town.
So we found the Torisum both. We asked them what there is to do since it was raining out. He suggested that we go to the chocolate Factory or an outlet malls. so chocolate Factory it was. It was very cool you could go into the factory. OK getting ahaid of my self. So you walk into the building and the smell hits you just pure bliss. U pay the 3 € and they give you a stick that they just diped in chocolate from there chocolate fountain. Then they have a museum. From there you go into the factory (hehe side note just took a break from writing to go and get chocolate) you go through a door and into a walkway incased in plexy glass.
 So as yu go along you go up on the gangland to see the factory floor. From there we could see the packaging part and some quality control. This guy was taking white chocolate bars and putting them on the scale they all weight around 10. Then he just tossed it in this box. They were in the possess of cleaning up. They had boxes and boxes maybe boxes is not the right word crates would be better. Well there was so many white chocolate bars in there I can ony guess they will be melted down and sent through again.
They had a movie set up on how the chocolate was made at the end of the musume. We watched that. Then it was off to the store part to get to try some chocolate. Got to love free samples. There was five kinds to pick from I tryed them all and may have retryed a few again and again. So we all got chocolate. In the end we had 3 kl of chocolate... It was awesome and our bag was heavy. There was so much to choose from it was all well priced as well. So I got two crispy chocolate bars, two milk chocolate bars and a bag of whoppers. They make great chocolate.
We got the train back to town.
Oh oh rewind to the Torisum booth. The chocolate Factory was not in the town we were at so we had to take the train and to get to the train up needed to take a cable car up the hill. Well this cable car was harder to find then alantise. We did not have a map we ended up going half way up this very large stairs wondered around town. I wanted to go one way shauna wanted the other way. Well what a wondering mess so bake to the Torisum both for map well the map sucked and we still could not find it so we started asking people. Well that halfed work. Finally we found it. Stupid little thing was hiden. Oh also they use the franks not the euro. They will except the euro bill but u get franks change.
So up we go and we are trying to find the orange train with a smile face. We ask a guy, wrong direction so we go into the ticket office. And stand in line. To be told to cross the street.  Sure enough it was right there. Oh man what fun we have.
When we came back from the chocolate Factory we decided to walk down the hill. So so could have walked up it. Not hard at all.
So back in the town in Switzerland we decided to stop for lunch well dinner it was four. Oh man the restaurants here are so messed up the kitchen classes from four to six. It is very annoying. We finally find a place and get some pasta.
Then we stop at a candy shop to get some for the ride home.
As we are on the bus. Oh we needed to get bus tickets and so the driver stoped at a news stand. And was able to get them there shauna gets off and three other people do. So shauna was the last one to get off. So last in line. Me and the other girl kind joke about him leaving shauna. And sure enough the third person gets back and he classes the door and starts to drive well me and her jump up and are like no no no, he is like ok calm down moving and sure enough he stopped right at the news stand before he was a little way down the street. People on the bus are laughing at us we are laughing and shauna gets on the bus and looks so out of place so when she gets back on we tell her about it. We had a good laugh over it.
We did not get searched at the border we did not even get stoped. And we realized that it may be illegal to bring that much chocolate over the border. Well thankfully we did not find out because no one stop our bus.  Go us for smuggling in chocolate.
Back at the hostel we had a great night just socializing drinking wine.
Oh almost forgot. When the hostel was telling us how to get there. They were very adiment that we get off at the right stop so I thought the stop was coming up so we ding the thing well there was one before it. How are we to know there are no signs saying we're it stops so we are like no he asked next one we are like si we think.
Good times on the bus.

Best couple ever

Things got fun last night. We ended up getting pitchers of wine and the four of us split them. Two Canadians one American and one Australian. It was alot of fun I drank more wine then I should have.
This morning got up oh I have to tell u about the bathrooms they are so tiny your knees hit the door and u have to sit so far back on the toilet. Then to flush there is a pedal on the floor. Well I have to open the door to be able to turn and steep on the pedal. The sink also has a pedal that u need to step on. There is even a red and blue one.
Our first day here I found 15€ on the floor out side our room. So last night the guy that runs the kitchen was going into the staff apartments. ( we had meet him going down the hall right before I found the money ) so I asked him if he lost some money he said yes 15 € . So I gave him his money. He was so grateful that apparently we were to get free breakfast tomorrow morning. Sadly I decided to stick with just bread.
So we moved rooms to a bigger room with a balcony overlooking the lake and our own bathroom. So no more knee knocking.
We headed down into town. We walked along the water it is very cold here. There is snow on the mountains. We went in this caffe I got icecream with a ring of hot chocolate around it. So good. Shauna got chilly hot chocolate brave girl. We then got tea neither of us wanted to be out in the cold. We wondered around town but we either the stupid time when shops close. So we went for lunch. As we are finshing shauna was eating here desert and the gentleman sitting at the table behind us is like excess me are u Canadian or American. We say Canadian. Then came all the normal questions. They are from nyc the live on long Island. Jean and petter (the judge ) well they are the most wonderful people ever. The are so in love the way the look at one another it was so cute. Well we chatted with them for some time. Then they asked if we would like to go for a coffee with them. So we said yes they were very interesting and had been coming here for six years they have been all over Europe. The women got up to pay so I got up put my jacket on and followed her we met as she was coming back from the bar with our waiter in tow so I asked if she paid she said I got it. So I though she mentioned she got the waiter so I go back to our table the waiter goes to the computer and starts printing out a receipt well she dropped one at there table but not us so I ask her for the bill. The look of confusion on her face was so odd to see. She then points to the couple behind us. And it now clicks. Shauna gets what is going on so we are like no no it is ok thanking but we can get our own . Well she would have non of it. So we say we will get coffee. She would have non of that eather. They were such a nice couple. We enjoyed our time with them.
So we went with them to this cafe they love it there and the owner was very nice and funny. He came over and told us a joke now it will be very hard to type out because he just made it so funny.
So there is an archery tortament and there is a young girl for marriage with an apple on her head. We the first guy spitls the apple in half. Crowed goes wild he put his hands up and says he is from scotland. The next guy steeps up and splits the apple. Crowd goes wild he puts his hands up and says I am from England. Third guy step up and hits the girl right between the eyes and she dies. The crowd goes quite and he puts his hands up and says I am sorry.
OK so not so funny typed out. Bet you are laughing still mom.
We said good buy to the lovely couple they leave tomorrow morning bright and early.
We are just chilling around the hostel now.

Shauna has made ninja skills

The plan was to go to bed early last night, we'll that went out the window we got talking with other guest, then this big school group arrived from marroco.
This morning no one was singing just some german guys playing loud music. Got to love hostel life.
They were running the marathon so we had to get around that it is a good thing the subway has like eight different exist on to the street. Or plazza.
We went to the mall that has a glass celing and home to very expensive stores. I did not have enough money to even window shop.  From there we had lunch and then back to the hostel to get our bags. We got on the tram and headed into the train station.
Well we got there as the train we wanted to take was leaving so we had to wait two hours till the next one. We found some seats and sit down with our books. Well this couple met infront of us and started to make out. We are talking neck kissing hands up shirts, in hair. It was intence. Well they were at it for atleast a half and hour even more because I did not check the time when they started it was retarded. Like get a room go home go to the bathroom any thing then keep standing infont of us. It was bad.
So before we got on the train we went to the bathroom.. Well I have now paid for a bathroom. It was a euro to get in. They had the doors that slid out of the way after u pay just like the subway.
We got off the train and thenhad to take the ferry across the lake. It was a fifteen minutes ride. The hostel was easy to find. We are now on Lake como do not know the towns name.

Hang (music instrument)

Last night, shortly after I finished my blog we met a guy from Australia and the other one is from.... I don't remember maybe the USA. Any way they invited us to go see this band so we decided to go. We got ready and there are two girls from Quebec in our room they were sitting at the bar drinking. Me and shauna payed 6€ for a bottle of wine and they went to get ready. We played some pool. Australia has some very very odd pool roles. Like pouring water on the table to slow the ball down. There were other very very odd ones. We were killing time till the guy that was working got off at 12 because he knew were a great bar was.
Once we finally get going four of us take the tram and four go in the car. It was me shauna the Australian and the other guy on the tram we got there first because they had to find parking. So we go to go in and the bouncers did not want to let the guy in they were fine with me and shauna going in but the guys were harder to get in. So in we go and we wait the others so up I go out to see why they are not coming in. We'll they were past the time of free cover and had to pay ten €to get in. So they come in. It was an iterating night got to sleep around 6 am. Then the people were singing and yelling in the morning it was very annoying thankfully they checked out.
So I got up around 8 went and enjoyed my free breakfast then back to bed to sleep till 11. Got up and got ready. We went to the big church here. It was stunning it was a little odd because one guy has been dead a long time and under his silver face mask you can still see his hair on the back of his head. I don't know about decomposition but I think he should have been farther alone but that is why he is a saint I guess. they had this crypt underground ad well the room had chairs and candles and an alter of glass with a very decritive earn inside. It looked like a room a cult would use.
From there we walked to the castle.  Well I think this was the best one so far. It had a working draw bridge.  Soo cool it was very neet to see the crest of the family still hanging. The correct yard was massive in a side cort yard there was a garden with a lone shallow water pool. Shauna wanted to try out her portrit lends so I got to play model it was alot of fun. I did not mind she can try stuff on me lol I don't mind waiting not like we are in a rush.
The castle areal shot reminded us of cidadial hill back home for its star shape. It had the traditional four towers in the corner. There were alot of stay cats down in the moat. Kinda odd would have Been perfect if it had been filled with water and crocodiles.
From there we walked into park. They were setting up for a marathon the Milan marathon. So we walked around the park there was this half theater thing and there were all theses kids just drinking and hanging out. There had to be atleast 20 empty bottles lieing around. There was one guy that just sat on a bench and pulled out a beer bottle and started to drink.
In the center was a library it had glass walles it was very beautiful. Then we walked to the end and there was this big arch with a chariat on top. We wondered around the park more and saw the stadium but it was closed next came the aquarium.
It was small but free so why not.
Well as you walk up they have a fountain and the fountain head was a hippo oh yes so we were excited right from the start. The aquarium had some of the best tank designs that I have seen so far. They had a ship really one. A dock in the medatrainin, the coral reaf one was amazing they have some of the best coral I have seen so far very colorful and vigret. It was an great place. And then you could go out back and they had ponds in one they had these big fish and the jump out of the water scared me half to death.
From there we wandered back towards the hostel. We stoped for lunch it was now 4. Then we stoped at a shoe store shauna got new shoes. Next a bakery,  then the hostel.
Oh I for got at the castle there was a guy playing a hang (look it up) it was amazing to hear. On our way out of the park we passed back by him and he had stopped playing and was packing up. I had no idea what he was playing so I stoped to ask I found out there is only 3000 in the world and one second hand cost 10,000. But it makes an amazing sound.
